Small tools - Unix philosophy

Don’t go to far out of your comfort zone trying to use new tools and API’s. With the proven comfort of micro services and the decades long Unix tools philosophy; combine many small tools to create powerful workflows, why are we still getting locked into using stranger and larger ecosystems that are harder and harder to escape? Pipe2Cloud keeps everything simple and does not interfere with your usual workflow tooling, no matter if it’s CLI or JSON micro services.

Use the tools you already know

Let’s monitor a log file for specific changes with tail -f and grep; watch -n 5 specific OS behavior. No worries, just | ./cloud and you have it caught in Email (SMTP, Sparkpost, SendGrid, Mailgun, AWS), SMS (via Twilio), Sentry, Observu, Flexlists, any REST API service or any of the other supported services.

No need to change your workflow, no need to learn more than only one API, and a simple one for that matter.

Our servers down? No worries; this is not a hosted service!

As with your Unix tools, all tooling software is hosted on your local systems. The cloud services used are hosted by the respective cloud providers, however, you can, by just changing an API key, simply switch to another provider without any impact to your services. No more learning and integrating new API service; simply switch the configuration of Pipe2Cloud to move away from a cloud provider that is not to your satisfaction.
